Wild Art and Mini Beasts

If you go down to the woods this half term, be sure to dress up warm as you could be going on a mini beast hunt in Cassiobury Park (February 17). Meet at Gade Avenue car park.

Children in Watford will also be able to take a walk on the wild side of Whippendell Woods (February 18). Taking inspirations from the creatures that live in the woods artist Alex Baranovski will create a number of timber and steel sculptures and children will have the chance to paint some fabric banners that will be hung from Alex's creations. A gazebo will be just behind Grove Mill Lane car park.

Give a Gnome a Home

Squire’s Garden Centres have found some gnomes that need a home. Bring your children to Squire’s during half term and they can paint a gnome, name it, and take it home with them. There’s no need to book, simply turn up on the day.

Films at Harrow Arts Centre

Let your children relax in front of the big screen and enjoy one of two films - or even both. The centre will be screening How to Train Your Dragon (PG), a tale about a misfit Viking teenager forced into the world of dragon fighting at school, who whilst endeavouring to prove himself, he befriends an injured dragon and changes history by becoming the first to ride the infamous creature.
