A man has been charged with historic sexual offences in Wandsworth's children's homes.
Philip Temple, 66, of no fixed address, was charged on Wednesday, March 9, with 27 counts of non-recent sexual assault and two counts of perjury.
The sexual assault charges relate to allegations of abuse of 12 victims, all under 16-years-old at the time.
They are said to have taken place between 1971 and 1998 in children's care homes managed by Wandsworth Council, Lambeth Council and Christ the King Monastery, in Southgate.
He was arrested as part of Operation Trinity, which was launched after two allegations of abuse were reported to police in November 2012.
Mr Temple appeared on Wednesday, March 9, at Bromley Magistrates' Court where he was remanded in custody until April 6 when he will appear at Croydon Crown Court.
