A teenager has to go to a six-day knife crime prevention programme after he was found guilty of taking two large kitchen knives into Southfields Academy.
The 16-year-old, from Mitcham, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied he had taken the knives into the school on November 25, at Wimbledon Youth Court on January 19 but was found guilty on February 23.
Magistrates sentenced him to a community reparation programme for seven days, a knife crime prevention programme for six days and a six month supervision order.
On Wednesday, March 16, he was told to pay costs and fines totalling £115.
