A man was stabbed in a fight on a bus which spilled out on to the street this afternoon in the second serious incident in Tooting High Street this afternoon.

A man believed to be in his 30s suffered cuts to his arm in the fight shortly before 3.20pm on the corner of Garratt Lane.

The injured man was taken to a south London hospital for treatment but police said his injuries were not serious.

No arrests were made.

It happened just five minutes after an incident involving a car and a pedestrian.

The car, a Toyota, has a "smashed" windscreen according to a second witness.

Police said the two incidents were not related.
