Hail has been "bucketing from the skies" above Wandsworth this evening.
Luke Wretham, 26, who lives in Tilehurst Road, Earlsfield, said: "I have never seen weather like this in late April in all my years.
"Thunder was booming just after 8pm followed by lightning, which you rarely see in London."
The marketing executive added: "I was astounded. It was bucketing from the skies.
"My housemate was out for a run and arrived back looking like a wet sock."
Jonathan Wood was walking up Magdalen Road, Earlsfield, when he was caught in the snow.
The analyst said: "I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Snow in April? Madness."
