UPDATE: An elderly man is in hospital after being caught under a train at Tooting Broadway.
British Transport Police, Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were called to the tube station at 11.47am today after reports of a person being struck by a train.
When they arrived, they found an elderly man under a train at the scene.
A BTP spokesman said: "The man was released from under the train and later conveyed to hospital for treatment.
"There appears to be no physical injuries but he is still being medically assessed.
"The incident is being treated as non-suspicious."
Arrangements are being made to inform the man's next of kin.
A London Ambulance spokesman said: "We were called at 11.47am to reports of a person under a train at Tooting Broadway station.
"We sent a number of resources to the scene, including London's Air Ambulance, members of our hazardous area response team and two ambulances and we arrived within two minutes.
"We treated a man for injuries and he was taken, as a priority, to hospital."
BTP is investigating and asking anyone with information to contact them on 0800 40 50 40.
From earlier: A person on the tracks on the Northern line has brought some services to a halt.
According to the Northern Line on Twitter, a person was on the tracks on the northern bound side of the line, and services were stopped from Morden to Stockwell.

Aside from planned works there is no service between Morden and Stockwell northbound due to a person on the track.

Wandsworth Police have confirmed they are assisting with an incident and say the injuries are believed to be minor.
The station has been evacuated and was closed.
The station was reopened just after 1pm.

Services heading south seem to be unaffected.
