More than 400 four legged athletes and 500 of their two legged counterparts tackled a muddy course through Brockwell Park on Sunday to raise money for the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
The fundraiser for the home is in its second year and offered the opportunity to take on either a 2.5k or 5k obstacle course with their dog.
Pooches and their owners were challenged by muddy water, balance beams and a canine crawl through the mud.
Ali Jinnah, Events Manager at Battersea said: "We’ve had a brilliant response from pet owners wanting to get involved, all the money raised at Muddy Dog will go straight towards helping the 8,000 dogs and cats that come through Battersea’s door each year."
The second Muddy Run of the year will be held in Great Windso Park on May 21.
