Police officers are investigating a daylight shooting in Lavender Hill.
Officers were called to Lavender Hill near Tipthorpe Road at 5.10pm on Wednesday to reports of gunshots in the area.
Wandsworth Police said no injuries had been reported.
There have been reports that blood and clothes have been found.
A forensics officer was spotted picking up a bullet.
Trident and Area Crime Command has been informed of the shooting.
Evidence of a discharge of a gun was found, but no arrests have yet been made.
Councillor James Cousins was near to the scene when he heard the bang.
He said: "I was on my way to pick up my children when I heard a very loud bang, then shortly after saw a group of men looking as if they were running after someone."
Josie Griffiths, 23, who lives nearby, said: "I was shocked when I heard it was a shooting.
"I walk that way a lot and it's scary to have something so serious happen down the road from where you live."
