The new Mayor of Wandsworth will spend his year raising money for the Shooting Star Chase children's hospice and a charity providing children with respite breaks.
Councillor Richard Field will be the borough's mayor for the next year, with Labour councillor Wendy Speck as his deputy.
Cllr Field is a Nightingale ward councillor and was deputy mayor in 2014/15.
His background is in property and sport and he spent 10 years working in the Rugby Football Union, including director of marketing at the England RFU at Twickenham.
His chosen charities are the Shooting Star Hospice and CCHF All About Kids, formally called the Children's Country Holiday Fund.
There are currently 41 children from Wandsworth families useing the Shooting Star Chase service.
CCHF All About Kids provides disadvantaged children with trips to the countryside, seaside and respite breaks.
Cllr Speck is a Latchmere councillor and former headteacher. In 2014, she shaved her head to raise money for cancer research.
