A bar in Putney High street has been allowed to extend its opening hours to match other pubs in the same road after pledging to deal with a persistent litter problem.
The Toy Shop asked Wandsworth Council's licensing committee for permission to extend its hours until midnight on Thursdays to keep its customers when its neighbours do.
The bar also got permission to extend the hours customers can use the terrace.
One objector said the bar had numerous issues with rubbish which owners admitted and said they were fixing by changing waste management companies.
Jamie Roberts, one of the license holders, said: "Our current garbage company has been fairly inept and we have recently got a new contract with Simply Waste.
"They are much more high profile and can do what we require.
"We have problems with fly tipping and that is a problem for next door too. We will put up signs and visible CCTV too."
Objecting, Mr Horgan said he supported the business but often saw piles of rubbish in the area behind the bar.
He said: "I'm glad something is going to be done.
"Our pest control bill for the flats is £6,000 a year.
"It seems management may not be able to control the level of waste currently so maybe some assurances could be given."
The application was granted by the committee on Wednesday, June 29.
