The drug and alcohol services in Wandsworth is hosting a mini football tournament this week to encourage cohesion between services and service users.

Addaction, which runs the community drug and alcohol service, has organised the tournament, with police, probation and service users taking part.

Teams will compete at the Wandle Recreation Centre between 4pm and 6pm on July 27.

Beth Gelipter, deputy borough lead, said the event was to encourage integration, rather than have separation of services from their users.

Six teams will take part in the day. There is no fundraising angle to the day.

She said: "It’s just really about bringing all the relevant organisations and service users in the borough together to do something enjoyable to enhance recovery."
