A series of raids were carried out across Tooting resulting in 31 people being cautioned or appearing in court.

The first, as part of a long term crackdown, dubbed Operation Dibbin, on drug dealing, violence and associated crime was on a Carribean Cafe in Furzedown.

Plain-clothed and uniformed officers, as well as a police helicopter and dogs were involved in the arrests of three men who were stopped yards from where 20-year-old Lewis Elwin died after being stabbed on April 18.

Other raids took place in Streatham, Tulse Hill, Mitcham, Southwark, West Norwood and Carshalton.

Those arrested and charged were: 

Paul Neith, 46, of no fixed abode, was charged with three counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in the Hawthorne Crescent and Nightingale Square.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 11.

Derrikhan Powlette, 23, of Shenley Road, Camberwell, charged with 14 counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in Tooting.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 10.

Daniel Williams, 24, of Tantallon Road, Balham, was charged with nine counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in Tooting.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 10.

Drew Orlebar, 26, of Cloudesdale Road, Tooting, was charged with four counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in Sainfoin Road and Fairlight Road.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 15 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 11.

Brian Barham, 49, of Longley Road, Tooting, was charged with five counts in relation to the supply of class A drugs.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 10.

Andre Marston, 28, of London Road, Mitcham, was charged with six counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in Tooting.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 20. He was remanded into custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 16. 

Reuben Edwards, 23, of Midmoor Road, Streatham, was charged with seven counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in the Balham area and one count of theft in the Thornton Heath area.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 10.

Aslam Bukenya, 21, of New Park Road, Streatham, is charged with three counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in the Kings Avenue area.

He was bailed to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 29.

Elton Blake, 56, of Longley Road, Tooting, is charged with four counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in the Longley Road area.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 10.

David Ismael, 54, of Longley Road, Tooting, is charged with two counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in the Longley Road area.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates court on July 14.

He pleaded guilty and was remanded to Kingston Crown Court for sentencing on a date to be arranged.

A 17-year-old boy from Wandsworth, who can not be indentified for legal reasons, was charged in relation to the supply and possession of class A and B drugs in the Tooting area.

He was bailed to appear at Wimbledon Youth Court at a date to be arranged. 

Tabari Hibbert-Pascoe, 19, of Rame Close, Tooting, is charged with four counts relating to the supply and possession of class A and B drugs in the Longmead Road and Rame Close areas. 

Details of his court appearances are not yet known. 

Yusef Addow, 30 of Norman Road, Greenwich, is charged with 10 counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in the Tooting area.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 10.

Another 17-year-old boy, this time from Lambeth, was charged with two offences relating to the supply of class A drugs in the borough of Wandsworth.

Astor Morrison, 24, of Blondin Way, Rotherhithe, is charged with two counts in relation to supply of class drugs in the Mandrake Road, Upper Tooting area.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston crown court on August 10.

Winston Blake, 44 of Broxholm Road, West Norwood, is charged with three counts in relation to the supply of class A drugs in the Mitcham Lane area.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston crown court on August 10.

Matthew Dean, 39, of Leigham Court Road, Streatham, is charged with seven counts relating to the supply of class A drugs in Longmead Road and Mandrake Road.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 10.

Prakash Gurburren, 50, of Pretoria Road, Tooting, is charged with two counts relating to the supply of class A drugs, in Mitcham Lane. 

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 where he was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston crown court on August 10.

Paul Fox, 47, of no fixed address, is charged with one count in relation to the supply of class A drugs in Garratt Terrace.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates court on July 14. He pleaded guilty and was remanded to Kingston Crown Court for sentencing on a date to be arranged.

A 27-year-old man from Merton was arrested and bailed to return to Wandsworth Police station at a later date pending further investigation in relation drug offences.

Mark McGrail, 44, of Winchcombe Road, Carshalton, was charged with four counts in relation to the supply of class A drugs in Fortescue Road.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 and was bailed to appear at Kingston Crown Court at a date to be arranged.

Alexander Amaadzie, 20, of Besley Street, Streatham, was charged in relation a drugs and a knife offence in the Mitcham Lane area.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14. He was committed to Kingston Crown Court for sentencing at a date to be arranged. 

Fabian Benjamin, 20, of Brixton Hill, was charged in relation to a knife offence and obstructing police.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 and reappeared on July 28. He is next due to appear there on August 11.

Tarentino Mills, 19, of Wellfield Road, Streatham, was charged in relation to a knife offence and obstructing police.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on July 14 and sentenced to six months in a young offender’s institution.

A 36-year-old man from Walthamstow received a police caution in relation possession of cannabis.

A 64-year-old man was arrested in relation to the handling of stolen goods in Trinity Road, and Durnsford Road area of Tooting and Wimbledon. He was bailed to return to Wandsworth Police Station at a later date pending further investigation.

A 33-year-old man was arrested in relation to the handling of stolen goods in Trinity Road and Durnsford Road. He was bailed to return to Wandsworth Police Station at a later date pending further investigation.

A 39-year-old woman was interviewed under caution in relation to the handling of stolen goods in Trinity Road and Durnsford Road. She was released without charge.

A 24-year-old man from Lambeth was arrested in relation to drug offences and was bailed to return to Wandsworth Police Station at a later date pending further investigation.

A 27-year-old woman from Lambeth was arrested in relation drug offences, no further action was taken.

A 34-year-old woman from Streatham was arrested in relation to drug supply offences in Mitcham Lane.

She was bailed to return to Wandsworth Police Station at a later date pending further investigation.
