A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car in Roehampton this morning.
Police and paramedics were called to Roehampton Lane at 7.18am.
The motorcyclist, a man, was prounounced dead in the road.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the man's next of kin is yet to be informed.
A post-mortem examination and formal identification will take place in due course.
The driver of the car was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Pictures from the scene show firefighters, police and an ambulance crew inside a cordon.
Roehampton Lane is closed at the junction of Upper Richmond Road to Clarence Lane and there are reports of congestion in the area.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.

No arrests have been made.
