A man was arrested after handing himself into police who were investigating a ‘serious assault’ of a woman who was left with a head injury and a fractured shoulder.

A 44-year-old woman was hospitalised after an attack outside the Lost & Co bar in Putney High Street at about midnight on Saturday, July 16.

She is still recovering from her injuries, police said.

A 34-year-old man was handed himself in on Friday, September 16 after seeing himself in a London evening paper.

He was bailed until mid-November.

Witnesses said they saw two men fighting in Putney on July 16 as the victim walked to the bar.

The woman was hit in the back of the head and fell to the ground as the two men fought.

The victim did not see her assailants but CCTV near the entrance of the bar captured the two men before they came to blows.

The two men were later thrown out of the bar.

The other suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, with short dark hair and a dark chin beard, wearing a light coloured t-shirt.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man shown in the image and who witnessed the incident.
