A fire broke out at a Indian takeaway shop in Longfield.
The incident happened shortly after 6pm on Tuesday (October 4) in Station Road.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the fire in the kitchen of the two story property.
Crews used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire on the ground floor.
A quick-thinking member of staff had reportedly used a fire extinguisher and blanket to prevent the blaze from destroying the kitchen before crews arrived.
There were no reported injuries.
