A pedestrian has died following a collision with a lorry at the junction of Battersea Park Road and Cabul Road.
Police were called to the scene at 10:28am today (Thursday January 26) to reports of a road traffic collision.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended and found a pedestrian in a collision with a lorry.
“London Ambulance Service attended and treated the male pedestrian, aged in his 70s, at the scene.
“He was pronounced dead a short while later.”
The man’s next of kin have not yet been informed.
The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
No arrests have been made.
Police, London Ambulance and London Fire Brigade are in attendance.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as Battersea Park Road is closed both ways between York Road and Falcon Road and A3220 Latchmere Road and Battersea Bridge Road.
