Climate change protesters caused traffic chaos this morning as they parked a car across the Heathrow tunnel in protest of the proposed third runway.
A blue Volkswagen was draped in a banner reading ‘No new runways’. The protest began just before 8.30am.
Initially three cars had been parked across the tunnel, with three protesters locked inside one of them.
The drivers of two of the vehicles have been arrested for obstructing a highway.
Officers are still trying to remove the protesters locked in one of the cars.
