Shafqat Ahmad, youth leader for Wandsworth said:"Our youth are always looking for opportunities to help our local community.
"To participate in the street clean initiative is inspired by the teachings of Islam which remind us that helping people is a noble act of charity."
"We are peace loving British Muslims and will continue to do all we can to serve our local community as best we can and wherever there is a need.
"Cleaning the streets of Wandsworth was extremely important as we feel we need to help the local authorities in every way possible.
"It also presents us with an opportunity to become better Muslims as Cleanliness is an integral part of our faith."
