A 52-year-old man has admitted breaking a court order imposed on him last year by playing loud music and having a row with his partner.

Mark Chaney, of Carpenter’s Court in Hampton Road, Twickenham, pleaded guilty to the charge of breaking a criminal behaviour order (CBO) on Monday, March 6 at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.

He had initially denied the charge when he first appeared in court, in November 2016.

Chaney was fined £120, and ordered to pay costs amounting to £115.

Another charge of damaging two windows to the value of £400, which Chaney denied, was thrown out because no evidence was offered.

The CBO was imposed by Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court in July 2016 when Chaney was found guilty of three breaches of a noise abatement notice after tormenting his neighbours with years of loud late night parties. He was also given a £910 fine.

Complaints about Chaney began in 2012, and after a series of ignored warnings a noise abatement notice was issued in 2014.
