A Croydon policeman has been charged with causing GBH to a man in Sutton High Street.
Metropolitan Police officer Alex Fackerell, 23, was charged on Friday, March 10.
The altercation took place on Tuesday, November 1, while Fackerell was off-duty.
He was later arrested in connection with the attack on Monday, December 5.
Fackerell has been bailed to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 11.
He has since been placed on restricted duties and the Metropolitan Police’s directorate of professional standards has been informed.
