Dozens of people were evacuated after a large fire broke out near a block of flats in Ewell last night.
A cylinder fire "severely damaged" a large garage, cars, a shed and the back of a shop in Kingston Road in the early hours of the morning.
Twenty five people were evacuated from a neighbouring block of flats, before returning home after the fire was safely extinguished.
Six crews from across Surrey, including firefighters from Epsom, Esher and Banstead fire stations, put out the fire and damped down the embers of the smouldering outhouses.
