A nasty crash between a taxi and a motorcycle in Wimbledon Village left a young man with a serious head injury.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist remains in a hospital in west London where he is in a stable condition, police stated.
The crash took place in High Street Wimbledon, near Hemingways Lounge Bar in the centre of Wimbledon Village.
Metropolitan Police officers had been called to the crash by the London Ambulance Service at 1.06am on Saturday, June 3.
Detectives are now appealing for people who witnessed the collision – especially two people who had got into the taxi just before the crash, but had left the scene by the time officers arrived – to come forward.
