One of Britain’s most respected chefs is expanding his collection of restaurants on the doorstep of Hammersmith Bridge this summer.

Renowned chef Raymond Blanc, the chef and owner at Michelin-starred hotel-restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, intends to deliver a touch of French flair to Fulham Reach when Brasserie Blanc opens on June 19.

In addition to the chef being almost entirely self-taught, other cooks that have been under his tutelage include Michael Caines, Marco Pierre White, and Heston Blumenthal.

He has also made several appearances on major television series in the past such as Masterchef, The Restaurant, and Kitchen Secrets.

Now the French brasserie arrives as the brand's sixth London location alone, going together with other destinations such as the Tower of London, Southbank, and Chancery Lane.

The restaurant is said to have a “unique combination of exceptional, freshly prepared food, together with a relaxed, informal, and welcoming vibe.”

Spokeswoman Kathryn Coury said: “Fulham Reach is the perfect place for Brasserie Blanc. It is a great location as it’s a stone's throw from Barnes, and what better than a stroll up the Thames path from Fulham with views out over the Thames?”

With a vast selection of wines and cocktails, cuisines on the menu will be inspired by Raymond himself from his childhood years. Dishes include trout gravadlax with Dijon mustard and lemon crème fraiche, duck leg confit with black cherry sauce, and a brand-new addition to the dessert menu in chocolate delice with Kirsch.

The restaurant will have a contemporary curved design that offers a relaxed and mellow atmosphere, adorned with bespoke banquettes, geometric screens, and luxury furnishings to cater for after-work drinks with colleagues, family dinners, or nights out with friends.

It will also feature an alfresco terrace that presents a view out on the River Thames and a dedicated gin trolley.
