A 250kg safe full of jewellery, watches and other valuables has been taken from a home in Kingston Hill as footage shows men launching it off a balcony.

CCTV released by Kingston Police shows three hooded men struggling with the safe on the balcony of a home.

They appear to initially try to break the balcony fencing by kicking it, pulling at it and pushing at it with their feet in attempts to force its bars to break.

They eventually succeed in breaking the railings and launching the safe off the balcony.

Police say the home in Kingston Hill had been broken into at about 5.30pm on Thursday, January 19, and the safe found upstairs.

Kingston Police is now investigating. A spokesperson said: “This must have been a loud bang. Did you hear anything?”
