Two people have been rescued from a flat fire in Tooting Broadway.
Around 60 firefighters and officers tackled the blaze in a flat above shops in Upper Tooting Road this morning.
Firefighters rescued one person from a stairwell and another was rescued with a ladder. There are no reports of any injuries.
A flat on the third floor and part of the staircase on the second and third floors was alight.
Eight fire engines and an aerial ladder platform from stations including Tooting, Wimbledon and Clapham fire stations were at the scene
The Brigade was called at 1.04am and the fire was under control at 2.46am.
The cause of the fire is not known.
