Sainsbury's has issued a recall for 13 sandwich fillers after food bug listeria was detected in some products.

The supermarket giant has asked all customers who have bought any of the products with a use by date (up to and including) July 4 not to consume or use them, but to return them to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will receive a full refund.

Listeria can cause fever and diarrhoea.

Some people are at an increased risk of developing listeriosis, include those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old, people with a weakened immune system, such as those with HIV or receiving chemotherapy.
