The Fox and Hounds in Putney has been refurbished after a £265,000 cash injection.

The Victorian pub, located opposite Putney station, has introduced “sophisticated” audio and lighting to “set the perfect environment” for pub lunches, cocktail drinking, party weekends or watching sports.

Manager Colin Woods said: “As soon as loyal customers see the transformation, they’re going to be wowed and new customers are going to be really surprised how we’ve changed.

“Even the garden that’s been astro-turfed with extra seating looks fantastic with its festoon lighting and new feature which I’m not giving away too much on, but transports onlookers to a stadium without the need to be there.”

Wandsworth Mayor Jim Maddan was there for the relaunch on Tuesday, July 11, for samples of fizz, new craft beers Brewdog and Blue Moon IPA, local cask ales from Wimbledon and Twickenham breweries, and canapés of the pub food menu.
