The annual Battersea Dogs & Cats Home reunion will be held next month.

Ex-Battersea dogs are among those invited to the event on September 3, which takes place every year at Battersea Park.

Activities on the day, which will start at 11am and finish at 4.30pm, will include doggy games, competitions, including Best Battersea Dog, a raffle and food stalls.

Some of Battersea's current residents will also attend, in the hopes of finding their forever homes in a rehoming 'parade'.

Admission is free and all are welcome. All money raised will go to the charity.

Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims never to turn away a dog or cat in need of our help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. Battersea receives no central government funding towards the care of its dogs and cats and relies on the generosity and support of the public to help care for the lost and abandoned cats and dogs.

The Home also has two other centres based at Old Windsor, Berkshire and Brands Hatch, Kent.
