A new 1920s prohibition-style bar and restaurant, disguised as an old London pharmacy, is opening just across the river from Wandsworth.

Evans and Peel has arrived in Chiswick, five years since the opening of their ‘detective agency’ bar, with a location that will have vintage furniture, an range of cocktails and small plates of 1920s American classic food.

The bar will have a secret entrance fronted by a 1920s themed pharmacy where guests will ring the doorbell and be greeted by the legendary pharmacist.

It is their task to make their way to the covert bar.

There will be secret passwords for those in the know and guests will be escorted straight into the bar through the pharmacy, as the windows simultaneously black out to preserve its secret identity.

The venue will be low-lit and secluded, inviting guests into the unknown world of Evans and Peel pharmacy.

In addition, there will be antique surgical equipment and secret draws located within the bar where guests will be greeted with something new every time.

In terms of drinks, the cocktail list at Evans and Peel pharmacy hosts a selection of beverages including the classic old fashioned, as well as inspired creations from the in-house bar team.

Vintage Japanese whiskies and intricate spirits will be on offer for those looking for something different alongside several wines and champagnes.

The menu will feature old-school American foods for those wanting snacks with their tipples, such as American grilled cheese sandwiches arriving in a cigar box with smoke seeping out of its sides.
