Two men believed to be connected with the murder of Malachi Brooks were arrested at addresses in Wandsworth earlier today.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, and a 26-year-old man was arrested for arson and perverting the court of justice.

Both men remain in custody at a south London police station.

Malachi, who was 21, died after being stabbed in Surrey Lane, Battersea. Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to the location on Tuesday, 28 March, at around 1.10am, with the London Air Ambulance Service also in attendance.

They found Malachi suffering stab wounds, and despite the efforts of paramedics he died at the scene at 1.55am.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on the morning of Wednesday, April 26, on suspicion of murder, however he was bailed pending further enquiries and released with no further action.

Detectives of the homicide and major crime command are investigating.
