Prince George starts his first day of school today as the Duke of Cambridge was by his side upon arriving at Thomas’s Battersea.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate, was not in attendance however as she is said to have suffered severe morning sickness, per Kensington Palace.
The four-year-old prince was helped out of the car by William after being driven through the gates at the independent school in Battersea High Street.
To his classmates, he will be known as George Cambridge as he started at 8.45 am.
The head of lower school, Helen Haslem, shook his hand as her and the Duke walked him inside with his school bag ready.

William told Ms Haslem that George had been “eagerly watching” and “noticed” the other boys going into school in their uniforms.
Wearing a shirt, navy V-neck pullover, shorts and black shoes, it is understood he is the youngest in his year.
Kate was forced to pull out of two public engagements on Monday and Tuesday after suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, as she did in her previous pregnancies, though she previously said she is not sure her son "has any idea what's going to hit him'' when he starts today.
