Nine Elms eastbound is closed from Vauxhall bridge to Chelsea bridge after a fire broke out at a water pumping station this morning.
London Fire Brigade described the incident as a "small water pump fire" on Nine Elms in Wandsworth.
Traffic is backed up from Queenstown Road to Wandsworth Road (Vauxhall Cross), there is also congestion to Chelsea Bridge, Battersea Bridge Road and to Lombard Road (York Gardens), Queenstown Road , Lavender Hill and on Latchmere Road to Lavender Hill.

The road is closed towards Vauxhall to deal with a problem further along near the new developments. The other side remains open.
