A new Thai fusion restaurant with original artworks and a meditation room has opened its doors in Putney.

Developed by food entrepreneur Roger Narula, Yum-Sa aims to serve globally sourced food prepared by spices, pastes and ingredients from Thailand.

The menu has four ‘distinctive’ segments – south east Asian buns, bao, are available, alongside soups and salads, dim sum, grilled meats and Thai curries.

Food is cooked in an open kitchen by brand chef Jay Shaikh with a ‘street food’ vibe in the front of house.

Yum-Sa, in Plaza Gardens, Upper Richmond Road, also features a gold and black interior, Thai ‘Khon’ masks and various traditional pieces.

The restaurant is inspired by Michelin Thai chefs, street vendor frying and ‘currying’ on the sidewalks of Chatuchak.

Mr Narula said: “This is literally my ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ project, having spent the past two years developing the Yum-Sa concept and brand.

“Having invested over £1 million to-date, I am delighted at the positive feedback and warm welcome we have received since opening our doors.”

Yum-Sa is open seven days a week and located opposite to East Putney tube station.

The restaurant was opened by Mayor of Wandsworth Cllr Leslie McDonnell on October 18.
