Police in Graveney offered residents the chance to claim free motorcycle security equipment this week.
Officers issued 70 notices to residents on the ward who own a moped or motorbike, offering them disc locks, trackers and chain locks.
The giveaway comes as part of Operation Venice, which aims at reducing two wheeler enabled crime.
According to data from the Metropolitan Police, there have been 1,262 motor theft related crimes in Merton since October 2015.
