Tooting’s St George’s Hospital is hosting a new exhibition which aims to showcase the estimated 15 million babies born prematurely each year.
Among the babies displayed are Albie and Reuben, 13-week old twins.
Courtney Bryant, their mum, said: “St. George’s Hospital Neonatal Unit has been amazing.
“They have finished what I couldn’t and made sure my babies grew into the little super heroes they are now.”
Photos of parents with their children will be displayed today in the hospital’s Grosvenor Wing foyer from 8am to 6pm.
Staff from St George’s neonatal unit, St George’s University of London and Kingston University collaborated together to design the exhibition.
It aims to mark World Prematurity Day, which was developed to reflect the meaning of being a mother or father in a neonatal unit.
The exhibition was also organised with First Touch, the neonatal unit’s baby charity.
