A £100 million housing scheme has been confirmed for Battersea with 130 new apartments planned.

Pricing for the homes will start from £639,950 with a state-of-the-art motor showroom also being constructed.

Battersea’s latest investment, called Viewpoint, will be funded by housebuilder Linden Homes who will invest £90 million.

Lookers Volkswagen Battersea is donating an additional £10 million for the major development on York Road.

Darren Maddox, managing director at Linden Homes South East, said: “We’ve launched Viewpoint at a time when Battersea is evolving.

“It’s clear to see the area becoming more affluent and accessible with developments like the Northern Line extension launching in 2020 and the total reconstruction of the Power Station.

“Now is an ideal time for buyers to invest in this hub of regeneration before property prices and interest rates rise again.

"90 new jobs are being created at Lookers Volkswagen Battersea alone with the installation of the new showroom, in addition to the abundance of other businesses being drawn to the area.

“It’s a real opportunity for professionals or families to create a life for themselves in the capital.”

Many of the 130 two and three-bedroom apartments will have riverside or cityscape views which can be enjoyed from a balcony or terrace.

An underground car park will hold 87 spaces for residents.

Wandsworth Council is also building a cycling docking station and a bus shelter on York Road.
