An independent Putney school is one of the top ten performing secondary schools in Greater London, The Sunday Times’ latest tables have revealed.
Putney High School GDST, in Putney Hill, was one of three south west London schools on the list alongside Barnes’ St Paul’s School and King’s College School in Wimbledon.
The Sunday Times has published its Schools Guide for 2018, which comprises of both independent and state secondary schools.
It examines the 2,000 highest-achieving schools in the United Kingdom based on GCSE and A-Level results.
Putney High School headmistress Suzie Longstaff said: "We are of course really proud and delighted to be listed in The Sunday Times' top ten.
"It is a wonderful acknowledgement of the tremendous spirit and hard work of both our pupils and staff."
The full lists will be revealed both online and in print this Sunday, November 26.
