One of London’s first fully-reclining cinemas will be coming to Putney in the lead-up to Christmas.
Odeon Luxe's Putney High Street venue will have 333 fully-reclining, luxury seats with increased leg room and tray tables, as well as three upgraded screens after its three-month refurbishment.
It will also feature a new Oscar’s Bar and a revamped Costa coffee shop.
New speakers will also be installed with Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound in all auditoriums and new in-screen lighting to ‘minimise distractions between guests’.
Those who are hard of hearing or partially sighted will also be able to use the Dolby Fidelio Audio Description systems and Hearing-Impaired Loops.
The Putney Odeon Luxe is one of two others coming to the capital, including one in Swiss Cottage and Haymarket.
Odeon Luxe project manager Duncan Kerr said: “We’re thrilled to announce the Odeon Luxe experience will be coming to London just in time for Christmas.
“These new Odeon Luxe cinemas have been given a luxury makeover to provide the ultimate movie-viewing experience that we’ve prided ourselves on for almost 90 years.
“With an exciting line-up of films including the highly anticipated ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ set to release over the festive period, we’re inviting guests across the capital to sit back, relax and enjoy our fully-reclining Odeon Luxe experience in style.”
The Putney Odeon will open on December 13.
