A new warning message played across London buses trying to help you stay on your feet is already annoying travellers.
An announcement will ring over the bus speakers informing its occupants: "Please hold on, the bus is about to move".
Not only are people finding the repeating message annoying by itself, it also fails at its job because it is repeatedly being played when the bus is already moving.
Numerous people have taken to twitter to express their annoyance, messaging TFL with how irritating they find the announcements.
@tfl thanks for reminding me to please hold on the bus is about to move when then bus is already moving after every single bus stop. pic.twitter.com/dNbek765Wa

Tom Hagues wrote on twitter: "What's with these new bus announcements that say "please hold on, this bus is about to move" when it's already f**ked off at breakneck speed?"
Michael Hogan wrote on twitter: "These new “Please hold on, the bus is about to move” announcements on London buses, several seconds late, when the bus is already moving, aren’t annoying AT ALL, OH NO."
However not everyone finds the announcements completely unhelpful, with one twitter user writing: "I'm a wheelchair user and this kind of announcement is super helpful (when implemented properly) if the bus moves when my wheels are not locked I'll get very injured which pretty much ruins everyone's commute."
TfL's director of bus operations Claire Mann said "Passenger safety is our top priority so we've been trialling this announcement to assess if it helps reduce the number of people hurt in slips and falls.
"Clearly there are some adjustments we need to make and we're working on that now. We will carefully monitor the trial to see how effective it is in reducing injuries."
