Part of the first and second floors of a house in Clapham have been damaged after a fire broke out this morning.

Three people left the property after the London Fire Brigade was called to Lynette Avenue at 11am on February 9.

There are no reports of any injuries.

London Fire Brigade station manager Nick Myatt said: "When crews arrived they were faced by thick, black smoke and had very limited visibility.

"Firefighters have worked hard in challenging conditions to stop the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.”

Crews from Clapham, Battersea, Tooting and Brixton fire stations attended the scene.

The fire was under control shortly after 1pm and crews from Clapham, Battersea, Tooting and Brixton stations attended the scene.

The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
