Police are appealing to the public for help in tracing a car as part of an investigation into the stabbing of Liz Hurley's nephew and another man in Wandsworth.

The attack led to 21-year-old Miles Hurley and another man of the same age being hospitalised with multiple stab wounds.

Police believe the two men, who were driving a beige Fiat 500 at around 20.45 on the evening of Thursday, March 8, had a "verbal altercation" with people in another car after a collision.

They were then chased at high speed by the men in the other car, described as: "a black hatchback with blacked out windows."

The two young men were chased down to Ascalon Street, Battersea, before the men in the black hatchback got out of their car, stabbed the victims and drove off.

Wandsworth Times:

They have both since been discharged from hospital after the stabbing.

The driver of the black car is described as: "white or mixed race, aged in his early to mid-20s, 6ft tall, of large build and with a shaved head and stubble. He was wearing a navy blue tracksuit."

The passengers are described as all black men.

Detective Constable Simon Monga said: "This was a violent and unnecessary attack. A minor traffic collision has resulted in two men being stabbed. It is only by sheer luck that their injuries are not more serious.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of the initial incident and witnessed the altercation to contact police.

"If you have any information about the stabbing and the identity of the suspects, please call police without delay. It is vitally important that we trace these people."

So far, no arrests have been made. Anyone who may have information about the attack should call Wandsworth CID on 0203 276 2603 or 101 quoting ref: 7495/8March or contact the police via Twitter @MetCC.
