A consultation into the proposed development to create a rooftop pergola on Putney Exchange shopping centre closes today.
The application, which has been made to Wandsworth Council, is to change the use of part of the roof level car park to a food led ‘pop-up’ venue.
The development, by Blackrock and Incipio, proposes four pop-up restaurants and bars with music. It is proposed to operate 7 days a week, 12 hours a day from noon until midnight.
It will have the capacity for 422 people seating and a further 100 people standing.
The proposal is based on the ‘Pergola on the Roof’ market concept that has been operating at White City and Paddington and this would be the first location in South London.
