A community coffee brand have launched a shop in Putney.

Esquires Coffee, 287 Putney Bridge Road invited members of the local community on Thursday, May 3 to celebrate the opening of the store.

From 3pm till 8pm, attendees had the chance to sample food, prosecco, mimosas as well and there was a face painter for children.

The UK's biggest Great Dane attended, along with his owner, Star Wars and Game of Thrones actor Ralph Ineson and the managing director and founder of Esquires, Doug Williamson.

The coffee shop place an importance on community spirit and aim to be a hub at the centre of the Putney neighbourhood.

The food and beverage selection which includes ‘wonky’ fruit and veg is hand crafted and locally sourced from the neighbourhood, helping support local businesses and suppliers.

The store will be the first Esquires Coffee shop to use exclusively compostable packaging, in line with their ethos of sustainability and social responsibility.

There is a unique ‘Coffee & Kitchen’ concept at the shop due to the addition of a development chef and kitchen, offering local’s brunch, lunch and dinner menus.

Colin Byers, Operations Manager of Esquires Coffee Putney Bridge said: “We’re so proud to welcome members of the Putney community into our new store, and can’t wait for them to try our delicious food and drink offerings, as well as make use of our additional space for local events.”
