A 38-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving another motorbike early this morning (June 29) in Earlsfield.
The incident happened shortly before 1am in Garratt Lane near to the Esso petrol garage and led to the other motorcyclist involved being hospitalised.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the collision, and particularly want to speak to the driver of an HGV which had been parked near the scene of the crash.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers were called at 0050hrs on Friday, 29 June to reports of a lorry in collision with two separate motorcyclists on Garratt Lane, SW18 in Earlsfield.
“The first motorcyclist – a 38-year-old man - was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
“The second motorcyclist was taken to hospital. His condition is stable.
“The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
