Despite the rain, hundreds of festival-goers descended on Clapham Common for South West 4. Craig David, Chase and Status, Lethal Bizzle, Big Tobz and Ocean Wisdom all featured on a very British heavy line up.

The bad weather didn’t stop people from bringing the energy as the muddy fields of Clapham made the perfect venue for a London festival.

Donning raincoats and ponchos the wet crowd enjoyed every moment on Sunday, whether it was in one of the five tents or on the rides.

One of the highlights of the weekend was rapper, Big Tobz who made his debut at SW4. Born and raised in south London, Big Tobz was at home in Clapham. His blend of UK rap and subtle melody and tone has become a signature style fans recognise and love him for.

He said: “My set was live the energy was great. I did some new stuff which was well received. Doing a local festival is mad, I’m used to doing festivals outside of London but there is a different energy and vibe here.

“Its good to see grime getting recognised, good music is good music but it's nice to see we’re getting represented and getting the chance do to out thing. [The collaborations] between mainstream and grime artists is great.

“I would love to bring my vibe to that, bringing my sauce and someone else’s sauce together would be live, I’m definitely on that. It might be one of the ways I get recognised, with a sick collab. I just need the right song and its gonna happen.

“I’ve got a great label behind me now and my new song with M/O is a banger so hopefully it happens. I’ll be playing at a few smaller festivals but after I’m back in the studio making music, working on my fashion and on myself.”

Big Tobz wasn’t the only debutant at SW4 this weekend, with Craig David taking the stage for the first time with his TS5 set. Normally seen in Ibiza or Miami, Craig brought his summer DJ vibes to the rain-soaked festival.

The crowd gathered to hear him play a mixture of old-school tunes and covers of chart toppers. The rain didn’t stop festival-goers bringing the energy on Sunday, which was well received by the artists.

Lethal Bizzle was another to represent the old school. His set was a mixture of old and new, with his most famous song Pow! really getting the crowd pumping.

There was also representation from the new school of rap, most notably Ocean Wisdom. The Brighton rapper and rose to fame in the rap scene in the last year and had the crowd dancing in the rain, especially with his hit song Revvin.
