A HARD Twelve Run in Llandudno has been organised to raise money for the North Wales’ hospitals.

The run is planned for Sunday November 4 along a course between the toll house close to the pier to a point near the West Shore. Each competitor will run four legs of the course to make up 12 miles.

The money raised will go to the Awyr Las charity, which provides life changing equipment and services for patients in hospitals across North Wales.

Organiser David Page, who is well known locally for raising funds for charity by dragging a trolley around the Great Orme, said: “Already well more than 200 runners have entered the competition, and I hope many more will take up the challenge.

“There will be two categories within the competition: racing with a rucksack with a 40lb load, and racing without a rucksack. The prizes will be £100 for the first lady runner and first man across the finishing line with a rucksack, similarly £50 each for the first lady and man home running without a rucksack.

“I’ve sent invitations to local running clubs and to Territorial Army units in the area.”

Registration for the race will take place in the Langtry ballroom of the Grand Hotel between 8.30 and 9.00am.

He said entry forms can be obtained from David Page, 71 Glan y Mor Road, Penrhyn Bay, Llandudno, Ll30 3PF.
