Putney-based Falcons Family of Schools has extended a warm welcome to its first cohort of pupils as part of its new Peregrines Pre-Preparatory School launch.

Located within the leafy conservation area of Woodborough Road, Roehampton the co-ed Peregrines Pre-Preparatory is a family school where boys and girls aged 3 to 8 are encouraged to flourish and thrive.

The site has benefitted from considerable investment and enhancement of its facilities to create superior IT facilities and a freeflow ‘indoors to outdoors’ learning and play areas, leading to a spacious outdoor classroom, a deck activity area and an astro turf safe-play section.

Headmistress Sara Williams-Ryan said: “We are thrilled to welcome our inaugural Peregrines boy and girl pupils, and are delighted to see them enjoying the newly improved facilities.

“At Peregrines we provide inspiring learning experiences that encourage curiosity and engagement. We want our pupils to be ambitious, have a go, be positive and take responsibility for their behaviour and learning. Reaching far beyond the national curriculum, the school strives to strengthen and enhance our pupils’ learning pathways through carefully planned lessons and activities. We have very clear academic goals in support of thorough preparation for the 11+ pathway.”

Throughout the year Peregrines is hosting a series of ‘Come and Play’ events at the school. The first one will take place at 10:00 am -11.30 am on November 1. Locally-based children under four are invited to the school for refreshments and to join in fun activities, including tackling a junior obstacle course. There is also an open day for prospective parents at 10:00 am-12:00 pm on September 29.

Enjoying a convenient location with spacious green play areas, superb facilities and dedicated teachers, Peregrines will inspire and challenge children to foster a curiosity and interest in the world around them and to develop a love of learning.

After Peregrines, Falcons School for Girls and Falcons School for Boys offer places to pupils at Year 4. Peregrines has strong links with both the schools, with a number of joint activities scheduled throughout the year so pupils can benefit from being part of a larger group.
