A woman has been left with a facial injury after an assault in Streatham.
Police were called at 5.45pm yesterday (June 5) to reports of a woman assaulted on Thrale Road.
Officers attended, and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment to a facial injury.
Her condition is not life threatening.
A man was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of GBH.
He remains in custody.
Police enquiries into the circumstances continue.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 17:45hrs on Monday, 5 June to reports of a woman assaulted in Thrale Road, SW16.
“Officers attended and the woman – no further details – was taken to hospital for treatment to a facial injury; her condition is not life threatening.
“A man – no further details – was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of GBH; he remains in custody.
“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
