A Wandsworth-run school in Kent which caters for children with severe autism has won a Europe-wide award.
Bradstow School competed with some of Europe’s most successful businesses to win a European Excellence Award.
It came first place in the customer focus category after beating off competition from healthcare, energy, pharmaceuticals, electronics and automotives industries.
The awards, run by the European Foundation for Quality Management, recognise improved performance and good strategy.
Bradstow School headteacher Bert Furze said: “Everything we do here is focused on improving the life opportunities for our students and their families.
"Our team create a structured environment for each individual pupil to maximise their independence, self-confidence and capacity for enjoyment.”
The school, which is attended by Wandsworth children, has been rated outstanding by Ofsted.
