Trio of seaside brawlers - from Thornton Heath, Balham and Peckham - spared jail

A trio of men who got involved in a holiday brawl during a trip to the seaside have avoided prison after pleading guilty to their crime.

Van driver Hassan Ali, 26, from Thornton Heath, 20-year-old Mohammad Hassan from Balham and Hassan Mohammed, 20, from Peckham were charged with threatening unlawful violence during the fight on March 13.

They were each given a six-week prison sentence, suspended for a year, and ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid work.

Ali and Hassan were also ordered to pay £70 costs and Mohammed £105 costs by Southend Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
